BRAKE Light Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Connect test light between ground and instrument cluster connector terminal D5. See Figure . If test light does not come on, repair open in Pink/Black wire between fuse and instrument cluster.
  2. If test light comes on, connect test light between ground and instrument cluster connector terminal C5. If test light does not come on, repair open in Pink/Black wire between fuse and instrument cluster. If test light comes on, connect fused jumper wire between ground and instrument cluster connector terminal D14.
  3. If BRAKE light comes on, repair open in Tan/White wire between instrument cluster and splice. If BRAKE light does not come on, check BRAKE light bulb. If bulb is okay, replace instrument cluster.
