BRAKE Light Does Not Come On With Parking Brake Applied

  1. Turn ignition switch to BULB TEST position (just past RUN position). If BRAKE light does not come on, go to BRAKE LIGHT INOPERATIVE. If BRAKE light comes on, disconnect parking brake switch connector.
  2. Connect fused jumper between ground and parking brake switch connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If BRAKE light does not come on, repair open in Tan/White wire between parking brake switch and splice. If BRAKE light comes on, check for poor connection at parking brake switch connector. If connection is okay, replace parking brake switch.
