ABS Light Inoperative

  1. Disconnect ABS light driver module connector. Connect fused jumper wire between ground and Purple wire terminal of ABS light driver module connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position.
  2. If ABS light comes on, go to next step. If ABS light does not come on, check for open in Purple wire between instrument cluster and ABS light driver module. If wire is okay, check ABS light bulb. If bulb is okay, replace instrument cluster.
  3. Connect fused jumper wire between Purple and Black wire terminals of ABS light driver module connector. If ABS light does not come on, repair open in Black wire between ABS light driver module and ground. If ABS light comes on, disconnect fused jumper wire.
  4. Connect test light between ground and Pink/Black wire terminal of ABS light driver module connector. If test light does not come on, repair open in Pink/Black wire between fuse and ABS light driver module. If test light comes on, turn ignition off.
  5. Disconnect EBCM 24-cavity connector. Connect test light between Pink/Black and Dark Blue wire terminals of ABS light driver module. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If test light comes on, repair short to ground in Dark Blue wire between ABS light driver module and EBCM.
  6. If test light does not come on, connect ABS light driver module connector. If ABS light does not come on, replace ABS light driver module. If ABS light comes on, check for poor connection at EBCM connector. If connection is okay, replace EBCM.
