Gauge Stays At FULL
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position with engine off. Disconnect fuel gauge sending unit connector. Connect test light between battery positive terminal and Black wire terminal of sending unit connector. If test light does not come on, repair open in Black wire.
- If test light comes on, connect a fused jumper wire between ground and Purple wire terminal of sending unit connector. If gauge reads EMPTY, go to next step. If gauge does not read EMPTY, check for open in Purple wire between sending unit and instrument cluster. If wire is okay, replace instrument cluster.
- If gauge reads EMPTY, check for poor connection at sending unit connector. If connector is okay, replace sending unit.
