Oil Pan: Removal
- Disconnect negative battery cable and remove air cleaner and fan shroud. Remove upper fan shroud. Raise vehicle and drain crankcase. Remove cruise control servo bracket (if equipped).
- Remove Air Injection Reaction (AIR) hose-to-converter pipe. Remove AIR pipe-to-exhaust manifold. Remove the exhaust crossover pipe at manifold and converter. Remove starter and flywheel access cover. Disconnect transmission lines at oil pan. Remove engine mount through bolts.
- Remove oil pan bolts and lower pan. Position front crankshaft throw and/or counterweight on horizontal plane so it does not interfere with oil pan removal. Raise engine, reinstall through bolts and remove oil pan.
