Oil Pressure Gauge Inaccurate
- Unplug oil pressure gauge sender wire at instrument panel connector. Connect Tester (J-33431) between sender wire and ground. Turn ignition on. Set tester switch to zero, then to 86 ohms. Gauge pointer should read low, and then move to the high position.
- If gauge readings are correct, replace oil gauge sending unit. If gauge readings are not correct, check for loose wiring connections on rear of gauge. Check ground connection for good contact. Check printed circuit board for defects and replace if necessary. Replace oil gauge if no other defects are found.
