Temperature Gauge Reads Cold With Engine Hot

  1. Disconnect coolant temperature sender connector. Using a jumper wire, connect gauge Gray/White wire to ground and turn ignition switch to "RUN" position.
  2. If gauge reads hot, replace sender. If gauge reads cold, check gauge Green/White and Gray/White wires, printed circuit and gauge connections for opens. If okay, replace gauge.
