Shock Absorbers: Installation

  1. Install shock absorber lower mounting bolt. Install nut finger tight only. Lower vehicle while guiding upper stud into body opening. Install upper nut finger tight only. Tighten lower mounting nut to specification.
  2. Lower vehicle. Tighten upper nut to specification. Install trim cover (if equipped). On "L" bodies, trim cover must be installed with arrow on trim cover toward left side of vehicle.
