Removal ("J", "L" & "N" Body)

  1. Raise vehicle and support body. Remove wheels. On some models, when removing left control arm bushing, disconnect parking brake cable from hook guide. On all models, remove parking brake cables from bracket and move for access to control arm bushing.
  2. Remove brake line brackets. Only one control arm bushing should be replaced at a time. Remove control arm-to-body mounting bolt. Note direction of bolt installation. Rotate control arm downward.
  3. Control Arm Bushing Kit (J-29376 ) is used for bushing replacement. Install Receiver (J-29376-1 ) on control arm. Install bolt through Plate (J-29376-7 ) and receiver.
  4. Install Remover (J-29376-6 ) and Nut (J-21474-18 ) on bolt. See Fig 1 . Ensure components are aligned. Tighten nut until control arm bushing is removed.
