Temperature Gauge

  1. Unplug temperature gauge sender wire in engine compartment. Connect Tester (J-33431) between sender wire and ground. Turn ignition on. If gauge responds to tester accurately, replace sender.
  2. If gauge indicates beyond "HOT" end of scale, check for short to ground. If gauge does not respond or response is inaccurate, check for an open in circuit.
