Removal (Camaro & Firebird Models)
- Raise vehicle and support rear axle with adjustable lifting device. Remove track bar mounting bolt at axle assembly. Loosen track bar bolt at body brace.
- Disconnect rear brake hose clips at underbody to allow more axle drop (if necessary). Remove both shock absorber lower attaching nuts.
- Carefully lower rear axle and remove coil springs. Remove torque arm rear attaching bolts. Remove torque arm front outer bracket and remove torque arm.
