Curb Idle Check/Adjust

The idle is electronically controlled by Electronic Control Module (ECM) via the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve. No adjustment provisions exist.

If the throttle body is worn or the throttle opening setpoint has been tampered with, the minimum throttle opening, or "Minimum Idle Speed", can be adjusted. DO NOT  adjust minimum idle speed for other reasons (e.g. to change the actual idle speed). This procedure was formerly known as a "Minimum Air Rate Adjustment".
