Removal (Right)
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove plenum extension. Disconnect EGR wire and remove EGR pipe bolts at intake manifold. Remove rear A/C compressor brace and allow to hang at compressor. Remove dipstick tube.
- Remove air injection check valve at manifold. Disconnect air injection hose at catalytic converter air pipe. Disconnect wire at temperature sending unit. Disconnect spark plug wires at plugs, head, and valve cover. Remove spark plugs. Raise vehicle.
- Remove catalytic converter air injection pipe clamp at manifold. Disconnect exhaust crossover pipe at both manifolds. Remove bolts from catalytic converter front hanger. Remove catalytic converter air injection pipe. Lower vehicle.
- Remove manifold bolts and manifold with EGR pipe attached. Remove EGR pipe clamp and pipe if manifold is being replaced.
