Shift Rail Detent/Clutch & Differential Housing

Fig. 3, Shift control components, clutch & differential housing:

1. Refer to Fig. 3 and proceed as follows:
a. Remove bearing (22) and detent holder cover (174). Puncture cover in the middle and pry off.
b. Remove attaching bolts (175).
c. Remove holder, detent (169), springs (170) and interlockpins (168).
d. Remove balls and detent (171).
e. Remove bushing (167). Pry bushing from assembly. Use two small pry bars and pry into slots.
