Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf ): Service and Repair

Fig. 3 Coil spring & insulator installation:

1. Raise rear of vehicle and support rear axle using a suitable jack.
2. Remove right and left brake line bracket attaching bolts from frame and allow brake lines to hang freely.
3. Remove track bar attaching nut and bolt, then disconnect track bar.
4. Disconnect shock absorbers at lower mountings. Do not suspend rear axle by brake hoses since damage to hoses may result.
5. Carefully lower rear axle assembly and remove springs and insulators.
6. Reverse procedure to install, Fig. 3.
