Intake Manifold: Installation
- Clean gasket and sealing surfaces on manifold, block and cylinder heads. Coat new intake manifold gasket with RTV sealer. Apply bead of sealer on front and rear ridges of cylinder block.
- Extend bead of sealer 1/2" up each cylinder head to seal and retain manifold side gaskets. Use sealer at water passages. Install gasket and end seals. Ensure end of seals are positioned under edges of heads.
- Install manifold. Dip bolts in oil and install. Tighten bolts in sequence using 2-step process. See Fig 1. Reverse removal procedure to complete installation.
