Brake Light Switch: Service and Repair

FIREBIRD
1. Remove left hand side hush panel.
2. Located under instrument panel, disconnect wire connector from switch at brake pedal support.
3. Remove switch from mounting bracket.
4. Depress brake pedal and install new switch into clip, until shoulder on switch bottoms out against clip.
5. If adjustment of the switch is necessary, the switch may be rotated or pulled in the clip. Electrical contact should be made when brake pedal is depressed .053 inch from its fully released position.
