Pump & Pressure Hose

  1. Depressurize Powermaster unit. Remove reservoir cover and diaphragm. Remove hose clamp and end of sump hose connected to pump. Drain reservoir pump sump. Disconnect electrical connector from pump.
  2. Disconnect pressure hose assembly from tube and nut assembly. Disconnect other end of hose assembly from pump. Remove 3 attaching nuts, washers and pump.
  3. Inspect grommets for damage and deterioration. Replace as needed. Since pump is replaced as an assembly, do not disassemble for inspection.
  4. Install pump, washers, and attaching nuts. Tighten to 23-35 INCH lbs. (2.6-4.0 N.m). To install pressure hose assembly, first connect end of hose assembly to pump and tighten to 10-15 ft. lbs. (13-20 N.m.
  5. Then, connect other end of pressure hose assembly to tube and nut assembly. Tighten to 10-15 ft. lbs. (13-20 N.m). Connect end of sump hose and hose clamp to pump. Reconnect electrical connector to pump. Refill reservoir with brake fluid.
