Display Inaccurate

  1. Remove connector from coolant temperature sending unit. Connect one lead of Instrument Panel Tester (J-33431) to harness connector, and other lead to ground. Set resistance dial to 1300 ohms and then to 60 ohms.
  2. Display should read cold, and then hot. Check for beep when 11th bar turns on. If display functions properly, replace coolant temperature sending unit. If display does not function properly, check circuit No. (Dark Green wire). If circuit tests satisfactory, replace instrument cluster.
