Tachometer Display

The tachometer displays engine speed (RPM). Voltage pulses are taken from ignition system and sent to the tachometer. These pulses increase with engine speed. The tachometer responds to the frequency of these voltage pulses. A tachometer filter is used to smooth out voltage pulses. The microprocessor processes these impulses into a digital display.
