Pm Generator Speed Sensor

The PM generator is actually a small AC generator used to sense vehicle speed. The shaft of the PM generator is attached to the output shaft of the transaxle. When the output shaft rotates, it generates a specific voltage, depending on vehicle speed. This voltage is sent to buffer amplifier, speedometer and ECM.
