Temperature Gauge Display Is Always Cold

  1. Remove connector from coolant temperature sending unit. Connect harness Dark Green wire to ground. If temperature gauge display is hot, circuit wiring is okay. Replace coolant temperature sending unit.
  2. If temperature gauge display is cold, check for an open circuit in Dark Green wire between sending unit and instrument cluster. If wire is okay, replace instrument cluster.
