Oil Pressure Gauge Display Reading Is Low
- Connect an oil pressure gauge, and check engine oil pressure. If oil pressure is correct, go to next step. If not, check engine for cause of low oil pressure.
- Remove connector from oil pressure sending unit. If oil pressure gauge displays high pressure, circuit wiring is okay. Perform OIL PRESSURE GAUGE DISPLAY IS INACCURATE test.
- If oil pressure gauge displays low pressure, check for short to ground in Tan wire between sending unit and instrument cluster. If wire is not grounded, replace instrument cluster.
