Fuel Gauge Display Is Always Full

  1. Disconnect in-line connector near fuel tank (fuel gauge sending unit). Using a jumper wire, connect Black/Yellow and Pink wires on harness side of connector.
  2. Place ignition switch in "RUN" position. If fuel gauge display reads empty, fuel gauge circuit wiring is okay. Remove tank and replace fuel gauge sending unit.
  3. If fuel gauge display reads full, check for an open circuit in either Pink or Purple wires, and the Black/Yellow or Black wires. If wires are okay, replace instrument cluster.
