Display Switch Assembly Test

  1. Ensure that switch assembly C1 connector is properly connected. Place ignition switch in "RUN" position and "ENGLISH/METRIC" switch in "METRIC" position.
  2. Using a voltmeter, measure voltage between Pink/Black wire and ground. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If not, check Pink and Pink/Black wires for open circuits.
  3. Measure voltage between Pink/Black wire and Black/Dark Blue wire. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If not, check Dark Blue wire for an open circuit.
  4. Measure voltage between Gray/Red wire and ground. If battery voltage is present, replace display switch assembly. If not, check Gray/Red wire for an open circuit.
  5. Place "ENGLISH/METRIC" switch in "ENGLISH" position. Measure voltage between Pink/Black wire and Gray/Red wire. If battery voltage is present, replace display switch assembly. If not, check Gray/Red wire for an open circuit.
