Speedometer & Odometers

With ignition switch in "RUN", "BULB TEST", or "START" positions, voltage is applied through the "ECM" fuse to the input terminals of the Electronic Control Module (ECM).

The Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) sends a speed signal to the instrument cluster. The frequency of this signal is equivalent to vehicle speed. The speed signal input operates the speedometer display and the odometers. Trip odometer is reset by the "TRIP RESET" button.
