Oil Pressure Gauge
The oil pressure sending unit sends a signal to the instrument cluster that is equal to oil pressure. At zero oil pressure, sending unit resistance is zero ohms. At maximum oil pressure, about 80 psi (5.6 kg/cm2 ), sending unit resistance is about 90 ohms. The electronic cluster converts this signal and activates a 14-segment bar graph which displays oil pressure. When bar graph changes from 2 segments to one segment, an audible alarm sounds and the low oil pressure warning indicator lights.
