Quartz Electric Speedometer

  1. Inspect all electrical connections for tightness and wiring for continuity. Disconnect speedometer sensor harness at PM generator (speed sensor). Connect PM generator to a digital multimeter. With transmission in neutral check for 1-5 volts while turning drive wheels by hand.
  2. Replace PM generator if signal is not correct. If PM generator is okay but speedometer does not respond (or responds incorrectly), remove cluster from vehicle and check circuit board for continuity. Replace speedometer if defective.
