Vacuum Delay Valve: Testing and Inspection

1. Start engine and allow to reach normal operating temperature.
2. Disconnect vacuum line from valve.
3. After a delay of 15 to 35 seconds, air should exhaust from diverter valve muffler. If not, check hoses for proper routing and connections.
4. Reconnect vacuum line to valve. The diverter valve should immediately stop diverting air. If not, check other components for proper operation, then replace valve.
