Hub & Bearings: Installation
- If installing new bearing, replace knuckle seal using Installer (J-28671 ) and apply grease to seal and knuckle bore. Clean and inspect bearing mating surfaces and knuckle bore for dirt or scoring.
- Install hub to axle and partially tighten (about 74 ft. lbs. or 100 N.m) new hub nut. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure, noting the following: Tighten hub nut with wheels supporting vehicle.
