Headlight Doors Not Operating
- Place headlight switch in "HEAD" position. Battery voltage should register at headlight switch terminals "A" (Orange wire), "C" (Red wire) and "D" (Yellow wire). Terminal "F" (White wire) should register zero battery voltage. Place headlight switch in "PARK" position. Battery voltage should register at switch terminals "A" (Orange wire) and "C" (Red wire). Terminals "D" (Yellow wire) and "F" (White wire) should register zero battery voltage.
- Place light switch in "OFF" position. Terminals "A", "C" and "F" should register battery voltage. Terminal "D" should register zero battery voltage. If all voltage is as specified, headlight switch is okay. Check isolation relay at connector C1. If voltage at terminal "A" is not as specified, inspect and repair Orange wire as necessary. If voltage at terminal "C" is not as specified, inspect and repair Red wire as necessary. If voltage at terminals "D" or "F" is not as specified, replace headlight switch.
- Check for battery voltage at isolation relay connector C1. Place headlight switch in "HEAD" position. Terminal "B" (Yellow wire to ground) and terminals "B" to "C" (Yellow to Black) should register battery voltage. Terminal "A" to ground (White wire) should register zero battery voltage. Place headlight switch in "PARK" position. Zero battery voltage should be registered at terminals "A" (White wire), "B" (Yellow wire) and "B" to "C" (Yellow to Black wire).
- Place headlight switch in "OFF" position. Terminal "A" should register battery voltage. Terminals "B" and "B" to "C" should register zero battery voltage. If all voltages are as specified, proceed to step 5). If any voltage is not as specified, inspect the wiring supplying current to suspected terminal and repair as necessary.
- Check for battery voltage at isolation relay connector C2. Place headlight switch in "HEAD" position and backprobe connector to test. Terminal "A" (Pink wire) should register battery voltage. Terminals "D" (Dark Blue/White wire) and "C" (Dark Blue) should register zero battery voltage.
- Place switch in "PARK" position. Terminals "A", "D" and "C" should register zero battery voltage. Place switch in "OFF" position. Terminals "D" and "C" should register battery voltage. Terminal "A" should register zero battery voltage. If all voltages are as specified, proceed to step 7). If any voltage is not as specified, replace isolation relay.
- Remove connector C1 from left actuator relay. Place headlight switch in "ON" position and check for battery voltage at connector terminals. Terminals "A" (Red wire to ground), "B" (Pink wire to ground) and "A" to "C" should register battery voltage.
- If battery voltage at terminal "A" is not as specified, inspect and repair fusible link "C" (left-hand) or "D" (right-hand) and Red wire. If battery voltage at terminal "B" is not as specified, inspect and repair Pink wire. If battery voltage at terminals "B" to "C" is not as specified, inspect and repair Black wire.
