Valve Spring Installed Height

CAUTION: At no time should spring be shimmed to obtain spring height UNDER minimum specifications.

Measure from top of spring seat to bottom of retainer cap. If measurement exceeds specified height, install .028" (.7 mm) thick shim to correct spring height. See Fig 1.
