Removal & Installation: Camshaft: Installation

  1. Lubricate camshaft journals with engine oil and install camshaft. If new camshaft is installed, coat camshaft lobes with Molykote. Ensure new oil, filter and lifters are installed as necessary.
  2. Apply RTV sealer to camshaft rear cover and on machined groove of engine block. Reverse removal procedure to complete installation.
