Camshaft Timing Chain & Sprockets: Removal

  1. Remove crankcase front cover. Align marks on camshaft sprocket with marks on crankshaft sprocket. See Fig 1. Remove attaching bolts, timing chain tensioner and damper.

  2. Remove camshaft sprocket and timing chain. Using Sprocket Puller (J-22888-20), remove crankshaft sprocket.
