Piston Pins: Installation

  1. Coat piston pin bores in piston and connecting rod with oil. Install piston pin and connecting rod in piston. Place piston assembly in support (J24086-9 ).
  2. Press piston pin through rod until pilot hub bottoms on support fixture. After pilot hub bottoms out do not exceed 5000 lbs. (2275 kg) pressure with press. Remove piston from fixture and check for freedom of movement.
