Cylinder Head: Removal

  1. Remove intake and exhaust manifolds. Remove upper radiator hose. Disconnect wiring harness and connectors from thermostat housing.
  2. Remove front timing belt cover and timing probe holder. Loosen water pump bolts and remove timing belt.
  3. Loosen camshaft carrier and gradually remove cylinder head bolts in reverse sequence. See Figure . Remove camshaft carrier. Remove cylinder head.
