Engine Identification

Engine may be identified from the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). VIN is stamped on a metal tab located on top of instrument panel at lower left of windshield. VIN is also stamped on left side of engine, at transmission mounting flange. The VIN contains 17 digits. The 8th digit identifies the engine and the 10th digit establishes the model year.
