Timing Belt Replacement: Removal
- Remove timing belt upper cover and rotate crankshaft until timing mark on pulley is at 0° (No. 1 cylinder at TDC). Remove A/C compressor and brackets if necessary.
- Insert 1/8" drill rod through hole in upper rear cover and camshaft drive sprocket. Remove timing belt lower cover. Loosen idler pulley and allow pulley to rotate clockwise. Remove timing belt from sprockets.
