Air Bag Control Module (ACM)

NOTE: Impact sensor located inside ACM may also be known as a safing sensor or "G" sensor.

ACM is located under center console. See Fig 1 or Fig 2 . ACM contains a safing/impact sensor and energy reserve capacitor. ACM checks SRS readiness every time vehicle is started. If a fault is detected, ACM diagnostics will store a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) and illuminate SRS/AIR BAG warning light. When a DTC is stored, warning light will be activated for at least 12 seconds.
