Stored Codes

Stored codes are intermittent codes and are accessed through DRB. If fault message is intermittent, SRS/AIR BAG warning light glows for 12 seconds or more and then goes out. Intermittent fault codes are stored in ACM memory, along with number of times code (message) was active and number of key cycles fault was in memory. Minimum time stored for any code is one minute. If a malfunction is detected, a fault code (message) is stored and will remain stored as long as malfunction exists.

When and if malfunction ceases to exist, an ignition cycle count will be initiated for that code. If ignition cycle count reaches 100 without a reoccurrence of that malfunction, fault code (message) is erased and that ignition cycle counter is reset to zero. If malfunction reoccurs before count reaches 100, ignition cycle counter will be reset and fault code (message) will continue to be a stored code.
