Description & Operation
A multifunction (combination) switch incorporates headlight, passing, fog lamp, turn signal, hazard, panel dimmer and wiper/washer switches in one unit. See Fig 1 . The ignition switch and multifunction switch are mounted on steering column.
WARNING:
Deactivate air bag system before performing any service operation involving steering column components. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS - CARS article. Do not apply electrical power to any component on steering column without first disconnecting air bag module. Air bag may deploy.
