Engine Bell Housing: Removal

  1. Remove engine from vehicle. With vehicle on hoist, mark position of propeller shaft to engine drive flange. See Figure .
    CAUTION: The propshaff must be kept at a level plane. If propeller shaft is angled, damage to inner bushing will result.
  2. Support front of propeller shaft with floor stand.
    CAUTION: Deattach coupler at flange only. Do not deattach coupler at propeller shaft.
  3. Remove propeller shaft coupler to flange bolts. Remove rear engine mount bolts at engine bell housing. See Figure . Remove bell housing.
