Engine Bell Housing
The engine bell housing attaches to rear of engine. The housing acts as rear engine mount support. The bell houses engine flex plate, ring gear and adapter flange. The starter attaches to bell housing and drives ring gear. The engine adapter flange couples engine flex plate to output shaft. The output shaft is supported by output shaft bearing. The bearing is lubricated with SAE 5w30 engine oil. It requires no periodic maintenance and is designed to last life of vehicle. See Fig 1 .
NOTE:
Bell housing bearings are lubricated with SAE 5w30 engine oil. Bell housing is filled with oil to 3/16" of bottom of fill hole.
