Wheel Mounting Stud: Install
- Install new wheel stud into flange of hub/bearing. Install flat washers on wheel stud. Install a lug nut on wheel stud with flat side of lug nut against washers. See Fig 2
. Tighten wheel lug nut, pulling wheel stud into flange of hub and bearing assembly. When head of stud is fully seated against bearing flange, remove lug nut and washers from wheel stud.
- Install brake rotor on hub/bearing. Install disc brake caliper on caliper adapter. Caliper is installed by reversing removal procedure. See Figure
. Install disc brake caliper attaching bolts. See Figure
. Tighten caliper attaching bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
. Install tire and wheel assembly.
- Tighten wheel mounting nuts in proper sequence until all nuts are torqued to half specified torque. Then repeat proper sequence, tightening stud nuts to specified torque. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
. Install center cap on wheel. Lower vehicle to ground.
