Stabilizer Bar Attaching Links: Removal
- Raise vehicle on jackstand or centered on a frame contact type hoist.
- Remove center cap from wheel. Center cap is to be removed by inserting a trim stick into notch on center cap and prying it off wheel. remove rear tire and wheel assembly from side of vehicle requiring attaching link replacement. Remove nut attaching stabilizer bar attaching link to lower control arm. See Figure .
- Remove upper bushing from bolt of stabilizer bar attaching link. See Figure . Remove attaching link bolt and lower bushing from stabilizer bar. See Figure . Pull down on end of stabilizer bar and remove upper bushing from between stabilizer bar and lower control arm. See Figure .
NOTE:
When removing center cap do not use a sharp or hard tool. Using a sharp or hard tool can damage finish on wheel and damage center cap.
