Lateral Links
Two adjustable lateral links extend from the top of the knuckle to the frame. one at the leading end and the other at the trailing end of the knuckle. See Fig 1 . The lateral links have rubber isolator bushings at each end to isolate suspension noise from the body of the vehicle. Each lateral link incorporates a threaded wheel alignment toe adjustment turnbuckle. Each lateral link is replaced as a complete assembly.
The lateral movement of the rear knuckle at the top is controlled by the lateral links. The lateral links are also used to set rear wheel alignment camber and toe. The lengths of each lateral link can be changed by loosening the jam nuts, and rotating the turnbuckles.
