Removal & Installation

  1. Remove refrigerant from A/C system using a refrigerant recovery machine. remove bolt attaching suction and liquid lines to expansion valve. See Figure . Remove suction and liquid line flange from expansion valve.
    CAUTION: Cap all lines that are not being replaced and cap expansion valve tubes.
  2. Remove flange bolts attaching lines to receiver/drier. Remove flange. Disconnect liquid line from receiver/drier. See Figure . Remove bolt attaching suction lines to compressor. Remove suction and liquid line from vehicle.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedures. Tighten compressor bolt to 22 N.m (200 INCH lbs.).
