Cylinder Head Cover: Removal
WARNING:
Do not start or run engine with cylinder head cover removed from engine. Damage or personal injury may occur.
- Remove intake manifold plenum. Cover lower intake manifold with tape during service. See Fig 1. Disconnect and relocate ignition cables. Remove air conditioning compressor drive belt.
- For access to compressor mounting bolts remove right hood side panel. Remove compressor mounting bolts and mounting bracket. Set compressor and bracket aside, away from cylinder head. Remove spark plug tube nuts and O-rings. See Fig 2. Remove rocker cover bolts and remove cover. See Figure.
