Thermostat - 1999-2002 Prowler: Removal

  1. Disconnect negative cable from battery. Drain cooling system. Raise vehicle on hoist. Disconnect electrical connector from engine oil pressure switch. Remove oil pressure switch.
  2. Remove oil filter. Cover both openings to prevent coolant from entering engine lubrication system. Disconnect radiator and heater hoses from thermostat housing. Remove thermostat housing bolts. Remove housing, thermostat, and gasket.
