Automatic Transmission Oil Cooler

The transmission oil cooler is an external oil-to-air type. The oil cooler has a single speed "pusher" fan that is electric motor driven and attached to oil cooler support bracket. The transmission oil cooling module is mounted to rear frame rail of vehicle. See Fig 1 . Fan operation is controlled by Transmission Control Module (TCM) which energizes fan relay.
